Info wanted.. Old shoes
 

Trying to date these shoes.. Used in Hyndburn School accy when kids used to work in the Mills blah blah

Bottom of shoe says "From Hyndburn School Accrington lancs"  But I have a feeling this was put on later when being given to someone else.

Anyone any info?

Not a lot of information for you Kipax, but 'Hynburn School 'could be the old Hynburn Park school.  

My Dad used to be a pupil there in the 1930s.

try the ozzy clog dancers im not sure where they are but they might be able to help
you sometimes see them in front of accy town hall

Well nearly.. I went to the site. Used the email listed for David but it came straight back as an "Unrouteable address"

sorry about that but is you go to a search engine and type "clogs" or lancashire clogs" there is a lot of sites to pick from

There very old and As far as I know authentice clogs worn by some poor child who would have been forced to work in the mill while at Hyndburn School

Not for sale (Unless an offer I cant refuse) but would swap for anything old that has Accrington or Hyndburn written on it.. Pottery especialy.. not books or the like.

I have an old picture of accy but proberbly can't do the swopsy thing as i'm not in the country, but if you ever do think of selling, i'm very interested, any idea how much the're worth?

them shoes are luvvly and be careful about swapping them they are worth quite a bit

I am gonna put these on ebay next week... the only reason for this is.. I dont know how to look after them.. I darnt clean them in case I get that wrong.. polish would ruin them I suspect... There not in anything so collecting dust on the side..

There quite small because they are tiny little childrens for mill use..

Gonna place on e-bay starting price ?? dunno ?? and see where they go from there... Will sell first if interested but I am pretty sure they will go for a real good price on ebay... Offers anyone.. or take yer chances on ebay :)
