Dropping leaves.
Unless I dreamt it there used to be a gardener's question time on here when I first joined, so I want someone to explain this for me if they can.
Deciduous trees. In the northern hemisphere they shed their leaves in Autumn, and in the southern half of the globe they do it in our Spring. What is the global southern cut off point at which they stop growing? I know there are no deciduous trees near the equator but what would happen if one was planted, would it be in leaf for ever? Thankfully my other niggle was answered when I pulled my bath plug at the Equator and the water didn't go clockwise or anti-clockwise but straight down the plughole. Thanks. |
