IS IT ONE-WAY or NOT?
had to take paris for physio to accy-vic this afternoon up whalley rd was turning right into garden street, when a car coming out of garden street just missed us. now at the heywood rd junction of garden st are NO ENTRY signs, but as you come out of the hospital car park there is nothing to tell you which way, unless you happen to have eyes like a hawk, and can see the little blue arrows on the post up the street, so i would say that i think its now one way but theirs no sign to tell you.would welcome comments.to me another GLORIOUS cock up by the powers that be.

Re: IS IT ONE-WAY or NOT?
Are they trying to drum up business?
CAshy sounds like you and Paris were lucky and no thanks to the halfwits respossible for the highways. |
Re: IS IT ONE-WAY or NOT?
What do the road markings indicate? (on the road surface at the junction)

Re: IS IT ONE-WAY or NOT?
50 yards down the street they slapped a one way sighn
teh junction has standard markings liek any other |
Re: IS IT ONE-WAY or NOT?
 From what I can assume from the signs the one way section is from the entrance of the carpark to Haywood Rd, I'm lead to believe that it was done so that the PTS and Front-line Ambulances can then come out and make for the main road without having to try and make a very tight left hand turn with an adverse camber as well as parked cars on both sides.

Re: IS IT ONE-WAY or NOT?
The road is marked and is perfectly clear. Like it is said above, as you come out of the hospital it is one way to your left but 2 way to your right. There are signs indicating this as it becomes one way. The junction with Whalley road is marked correctly for a 2 way road as well.
