The guy who played the O-God of Hangovers did it brillantly didn't he? :D I liked Albert too.

The thing that originally put me off Discworld was the elephants and the turtle. I like my fantasy to be plausible. I mean like with Hitchhiker I can suspend reality enough to believe in Vogons and Zeephod Beeblebrox but how do those elephants survive? What do they feed on? What happens to the poor turtle when they pooh?

However, if I ignore that part the rest is very enjoyable.

I hope you like them, Tinkerbelle. I only started reading them when my husband, who loved Science Fantasy, gave me one to read when I was recovering from an operation about 15 years ago. I was determined not to like it (What's this rubbish then? You know I can't stand the stuff you read.) but within half a chapter I was hooked.

Thanks West Ender, I'm going to get the kids to bed soon and settle down with a glass of wine and have a read.

I know what you mean, my lad is sci-fi/fantasy mad and I hated it but bit by bit I've started to enjoy it myself. I blame Hitchikers Guide and Dr Who lol! I still draw the line at Star Trek though ...... I'll never get into that!
