Re: Wahts happening at the old Broughton Crangrove site?

No the medical centre is the one at the bottom of Lonsdale Street. I'm pretty sure they're not building 2.

Sorry ignore me i was wrong......

http://www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk/roundab...11_06_0279.pdf

whats the point in having 2 medical centres??? HBC wasting money again???

Re: Wahts happening at the old Broughton Crangrove site?

The one on the BC site is going to have us lot from Peel House I think. PH is getting a wee bit cramped these days what with all the minor proceedures you no longer go to hospital for and all the extra rooms they've squeezed in since it was built.

Looks like we are HBC bashing again. :D
Since when do HBC build medical centres. It will be being built by either the NHS or the Doctors themselves.
HBC do plenty of things we can bash them for without blaming them for something that has nothing to do with them.

Re: Wahts happening at the old Broughton Crangrove site?

Apologies, I just presumed that it would be the council. I couldn't think who else it would be. Its just so easy to jump to, and blame them. lol.

Just take notice how everyone blames HBC for everthing wrong in their lives around here. It's even HBC's fault when someone has a problem with their Hyndburn Homes house which now have nothing to do with HBC. I do think calling it Hyndburn Homes was a big mistake, as well as still employing all those ex-Council staff who were useless when they worked for HBC.

Lolly 05-01-2007 16:36

Like I said its just very easy to blame them!! lol.

as of yet they are still pi$$ing into the same pot , for example they still collect the rent at the council office

I can't see that lasting for long. One of the main idea's of getting rid of Council houses is so Councils get rid of the hassle.

It's no wonder I'm confused by Hyndburn Homes. It sounds like a council subsidiary and acts like a council subsidiary.

Hyndburn Homes is owned by Contour Housing Ltd not Hyndburn Borough Council.

Re: Whats happening at the old Broughton Crangrove site?

I believe the idea is that with the centralisation of service s some minor 'ops' will be done in these medical centres. so it makes sense tha they centralise many decrepid doctors surguries with nice shiny new medical centres

That I can't understand either. You phone HBC and part of the answerphone message is press blah for housing. It should say please phone Hyndburn Homes on ******. They still accept mail for Hyndburn Homes at the nice blue Council building as well. They need a clean break in my opinion. They should not have transfered the management across either. They will no doubt be stuck in the Local Council way of doing things, slowly with little accountability for the time and money they waste.

the one near where the new era is ....is gonna be peel house, cuz thats my doctors, but didnt know it was gonna be for anyone...thought you have to be registered to go there!!

Ber999T 07-01-2007 05:21

Re: Whats happening at the old Broughton Crangrove site?

1) Health Centre building nothing to do with HBC but it has to do with the PCT (Primary Care Trust) and I beleive that the one near to the New Era is to replace Peel House and POSSIBLY some other surgeries in the area.

2) The building at Lonsdale St is also a Health Centre but no other infomation as to who is going to go in apart from a RUMOUR that it could have a NHS Walk-in centre. These work like an open surgery or small A&E (Minor Injuries!!) but mostly at night and weekends (when GP's are closed).

Think something like this is needed in this area as at the moment RBH is full most of the time and when BGH is closed down then RBH A&E is just going to be packed out 24/7

You need to speak to the Consultants secretary. Explain what has happened and see what he/she can do for you.
I had my next appointment put back 4 weeks, I phoned them and explained how bad I was and it was moved forward 2 weeks from the original date :D

If that does not work tell them you will get your pet Tinks to bite them, that should work. :D
