in all honesty i cant really think of one particular person. theres a few in my mind but i'm just thinking if leaping into them would change that event or delay it. an obvious one would be hitler.. leap into him and make him a fun loving hippy.

garinda - no but it was after the holocaust it was viewed that jews should have their own homeland - b4 the war it was a popular movement for a zion state and with the persecution they faced in europe mass migration began taking place to israel - only later on did the independence take place

if that persecution didnt take place they would happily still be living in europe

I've thought quite a bit about this. Hate to feel like I'm playing God and then had to remember it's just a thought eh? I guess I'd stay close to home and have done a very short spell with Abe Lincoln.

If he had put a U. S. Grant in charge of the North at or near the beginning of the American Civil War, 100s of thousands young boys wouldn't had died for absolutely no reason. Plus the South wouldn't have suffered so much during reconstruction with some of the continuing ill feelings on both sides.

The plain stupidity/incompetance of McClellan, Pope, Burnside, Hooker, McClellan (his second stint), Meade, was just terrible. IMHO.

I have a Jewish friend Tina. She'd be hard pushed to name the monarch prior to the present Queen, never mind have any idea about the creation of the state of Israel.

Mind you, she could probably name every post war Newcastle United team, or all the head designers at Dior, since the death of Christian Dior.:D

I was merely thinking that a Jewish AccyWebber might be able to give correct information regarding that toast I referred to about "next year in Jerusalem" - after all I'm only reporting heresay and I could be wrong. It would be nice to be able to get the correct info direct from someone's own personal experience. Nothing to do with history and queens of England.:p

This one takes some thinking about.There have been so many wrongs over the centuries...Hitler,Thatcher,Pol Pot,Bad Girls & Tin Machine to name but a few.Maybe i'd have done something about the invention of nuclear explosives or told Sting reforming The Police was not in anyones interest but his own.....i really don't know there are so many.But a very good question.

seen as you can leap into people from teh past i would leap into my self and make a few different choices regarding what i brought home from a night club one night , if i could just leap into myself at teh right time and date i could save myself 7 years of misery :D

no , its creation was in response to the racisim wide-speard in mainly in the US and Europe at the time that didn't want to see an influx of eastern european refugees (non-Christian) from eastern Europe with socialist political ideals.
