Re: greyhounds

My advice to anyone wanting to keep Greyhounds is this give one to all the people you do not like, as loveable as they are they will only keep you poor, even the fast ones. But i'll tell you what if Blackburn and Bolton stadiums were still open i'd have a yard full, I mighn't have been poor but I would have been the fittest man in Accrington, and the happiest God did I love my dog racing and I was known to have a bet or three now and again.

You'd have known me cashy I trained greyhounds out of Accrington but mostly out of kennels in Gt Harwood mainly for bookmakers and doctors who who were very good to me win or loose, what a pity they shut the tracks down. Had the chance of going professional at the NGRC stadiums but went into a more secure business 'for the sake of the children' just give me that choice again, oh happy days.

I never knew there were races around here. Went to the dogs at Wimbledon a few times, which was a laugh. The only time I ever won, I had my hands in the air in jubilation...and dropped my ticket on the floor, along with the thousands of others.:(

They call it beginers luck it stay's with you for the rest of your days. Seriously you can have a good time with little money, a tip for you, pick two numbers and reverse them through the card, stick to them evey time you go and you will not loose a lot of money and sometimes have a few 'purple' patches. Bellvue Dogs great night out good food and great excitement.
