At the bottom of Edgar Street, across from the viaduct. A classic town centre pub in the 60s and 70s when Joyce and Eddie ran it. The atmosphere in the back room was...er...a little "exotic" to say the least!

Looked pretty closed the last time I walked past a few weeks ago. They should never have got rid of the topless barmaids. :(

Does the Bold Street count even though its a WMC?

Nice try Brian, but I said public houses Bold St is a Working Mens Club, that's if you can find any in there.:D just to add to the fun how many pubs in Hyndburn can you walk all the way round in other words stand alone, no 1 the Spinning Jenny the bit they sold is still on brewery land:p

Unless it can be shown on a map I don't think pomfret yard is where you say it is
I used to play in that yard at the back of the spread eagle between 1950 to say 1958 and I know that was a long while after 1901 but it was old then there where yards in quite a few locations in accy we will have to find an old map

Bold Street Club is on a street corner and not in the middle of a row.
