Seven Wonders ....
The CBC ... that's like the BBC only with a 'C' for Canadian ... had a poll asking for suggestions for the 7 wonders of Canada ... Like Niagara Falls, the Rockies, the biggest pile of moose droppings. So I thought (I do this occasionally) that you guys might like to suggest the 7 wonders of Accy. Some things come to mind: the house I first lived in, the pub in which I had my first beer, the cinema seat in which I first managed to get a girl's bra off, without embarrassing myself ... you know things like that.:D :D :D So, what are the 7 wonders of Accy?:wave8:

The Tiffany glass collection at Howarth Art Gallery would surely have a place....and I think the Viaduct is pretty impressive too....especially with a bit of cloudless blue sky behind it.

it use,t to be the pickwiick pub i worked down stair,s as a glass collectour an my brother work,t as a chef up in the restaurant they were good times

The Viaduct - I wonder why it's classed as a tourist attraction. Broadway - I wonder why it couldn't have been refurbished better. The Market - I wonder why we hardly have one now. The River Hyndburn - I wonder why we don't make a positive feature of it. The rubbish in our streets - I wonder if the council will ever keep them clean. The Arndale Clock - I wonder whatever happened to it and why we can't have it back now the cafe has gone. Hyndborg Borough Council - I wonder if the newly elected councillors will make any improvements. |

I agree with the viaduct .. and the Coppice ... and all the other stuff ... was away for a while in the bush out on the Rez ... Several members of the Bay of Quinte First Nations from the Tyendenaga Mohawk Territory send fraternal greetings to the people of Accy and district ... this was on Sunday after a day's fishing for walleye and lots of alcohol and much smoking of the peace weed. I did try to explain what 'gradely' means, and thro the fumes and the smoke managed to convey what a gradely place Accy (and particularly the bottom end of Clayton) is.

I would have thought Burnley Road, Manchester Road, Blackburn Road and Whalley Road would have been there - all roads leading out of accy!!!:D
