Well that's just typical....we go and win the 2012 olypmpics and sod's law it just happens to be the same year the world is due to end! Billions spent on infrastuture will have been wasted. I wish this Goverment spent more time on research when commiting to massive long term investment of taxpayers money.

When it comes, no matter which way it happens, none of us will be ready for it, just hope you go because of old age with loved ones around you and not from one of the many catastrophes that could/should/will?, happen that the overpaid band waggon brigade tell us about, they are making their cash from early panic, when it really happens there will be nothing anyone can do so, ENJOY! and bring your children up with some sort love for the period you are together, (it will probably last you a life-time).

As much as the clever people tell us, it's all speculation who can say which one of them is right?

If it does end I want to go with the first 'kaboom' - none of this survival techniques business for me.I don't want to live in a barren radio-active wasteland.

If there was a war willow you would be ok as samlesbury airfield is a prime target,so we would be one of the first to go.

Theres not much point in taking out a 'funeral plan' - we will all get 'left on top' :D

Re: 'Five Years Left To Save The Planet'

According to Nostradamus the world ended in 2000 when a comet hit the world, probably in the area of Morcambe. So there is nothing to worry about. The end of the world came, but we were just to busy to notice it.

The REAL end of the world will not arrive until Bill Gates figures out how to make money from it.

Are we, tho, talking of the end of the world, or the end of humanity? Getting rid of humans might not be all that bad of an idea.

I was born in 1984, so I'm kinda glad the world didn't end. Although maybe my parent's world ended? Their social lives for one! :D
