Pizza Palace on Union Rd is good but have heard good reports from Slice from Heaven; also union rd.

AMICO'S on ormerod st. The bases are always really fluffy and crispy, ALWAYS plenty of topping and heaps of cheese(right to the edge I may add).

I'm a fussy devil, but have never had a qualm with this place.

Slice from Heaven on union road and Caledonia do the BEST pizzas.

Caledonia even do a 16inch pizza and they are gorgeous! yum yum

We get Santas, also always order online, the pizzas are nice, the kebabs are good too and never have to wait too long for them.

We are gonna try Slice from heaven tonight as a bit of a celebration (good store visit from boss !) so will let you know. I used to use Petra all the time but I actually went in there a few weeks back whilst sober and it could do with a clean :eek:

We always used to use Follies but we ordered one night and waited about an hour, we tried phoning them, no answer then my other half decided to drive down, when he got there they'd shut!

Thumbs up to the " Slice from heaven"; free delivery in under half an hour, 3 bases to choose from,loads of topping,extremely good stringy cheese,and a free garlic bread thrown in for orders over 8 quid. Can't fault it and will be using them again !

Toni's in Great Harwood. They don't do delivery. They don't do a choice of bases. They do real, handmade italian pizzas. Best around.

Yeah they always say that when the bussiness goes bad, we have ginos in church and has been closed due to electrical faulty for the past 2 months and the guy who was working in it is one of the people who was running it and he is workin in kashimirs in accy

finally decided on SANTA`S and were very impressed, ordered online and 30 min later we had a 12`vegi, 12 `olive and mushroom, 12` hot one, vegi burger with cheese, fries x2 and a free 9` garlic bread. piping hot pizzas all for 23 quid.the only disappointment was for my 4 year old daughter who was waiting for santa to deliver it himself but had to make do with one of his little helpers!!!!! give it a try:D

Omar's is definitely legendary and good vfm too - Abdul's used to be the don but we've all decided to swith to Omar's now. Santa's pizza bases suck - they need to go back to pizza school.

Everything from Omars is good, freshly made in front of you and best of all they are Turks.....not the usual takeaway at all, don't live down there any more but it's the only takeaway I will use.

It isn't a true pizza unless it is baked in a wood oven (the smokey flavour enhances it)

A pizza is only as good as the ingredients - artificial cheese should never be used. If you don't use real mozarella and parmesan, it will be no better than a Kraft cheese slice sandwich on plastic white bread.

We tried Baba Chef, Blackburn Rd Accy. Very good. Nice juicy pizzas, loads of topping and they do a chicken kebab roll too that's packed with flame-cooked spicy chicken breast and has loads of salad in it too. :p

My compliments to your dear lady Jaysay, you are a lucky man - I make my own pizza at least once a week (not this week though as it's too hot to put an oven on!!), it's a great family favourite and much better than any take-away...

We don't have many take-aways over here. After a heavy night out what they do over here is have Spaghetti Aglio, Olio and Pepperoncino. While you cook spaghetti prepare some olive oil in a frying pan, add plenty of crushed garlic and fry lightly then add plenty of chili pepper, drain the spaghetti and toss in the oil mixture and add some parmesan -it's quick and cheap, i'll guarantee everyone will love it and they will wake up without a hang-over...:hehetable
