Just get youself a toyboy - men over 50 need care and nurture which takes time and effort better spent on yourself.

I always said that when my wife got to 50 I would swap her for two twenty five year olds to look after me in my old age........did'nt work out and I am still lumbered with the same one and I love her to death.

I agree wholeheartedly with you Margaret, we men over 50 are often a waste of space, but then we aren't on our own in that respect are we? :D

As for marriage I'm of the opinion that once is more than enough, why should we not learn from our mistakes and avoid making similar in the future? :)

Nothing to do with him........The pots and pans (Presies) they got before have worn out and they need new ones.

It's my ambition to marry and 'wear out' as many wives as possible, outlive them all, then have them all planted together on top of each other. Then finally me on the top, where us men should be.:D:p:p:D

Nothing wrong with having four weddings - it's the living with each of 'em afterwards that'd be the trouble :)

After three do'es you can hardly call them novices.....must be trying for a new experience or the rekindling of an old one.
Must be barmy :p:cool:

This couple were on Trisha Goddard last night. One of their daughters was also on saying how their behaviour had had an adverse effect on her and her siblings childhood.

I know a couple who've done that. It seems like they can't live with each other for long but can't live without each other either.

Re: Is Four To Many Weddings ?

Some people cant see past the 'big day'. The event itself with all its trappings and the attention, the assembling of relatives and friends, the prezzies, the feasting and drinking becomes addictive because it may well be the only time that marriage = fun - so has to be repeated.

At the tender age of 18 (almost 19) I remember planning my big white wedding (yes I was a virgin) for 7 months. I was oblivious to the Berlin Wall going up or anything else dramatic at the time.
Then when all that planning was done and I was walking down the aisle it dawned on me what I had done, I wish I had had the guts to say no when asked by the minister but I didnt. I have a lovely son from that marriage which I struggled with for 10 years, so it wasn't a complete waste of time, but that has given me insight into the blindfold that planning 'the event' can put on people.

My elder daughter's partner has been divorced twice - from the same woman. They divorced the first time when their older son was 3 then remarried when he was 5 and divorced again when the 2nd son was a baby. He says he remarried her because of the little boy but she made his life hell and he couldn't live with her. I've met her - and I believe him! :D

We'll in my opinion, as long as your happy that is the most important things, In "real" life it is fine, when referring to real I mean not this fake hollywood love where people fall for each other and get married only to be divorced a few months later and by the end of their life they've married 10 times with 5 kids to five different celebs!!!

Sorry, got a little off track there!

What about your childrens happiness? You can't just disregard their feelings!! I don't mean you personally but one of their daughters was with them on the Trisha Show and she had been badly affected.

My Mums been married twice as has my Dad. Now my Mum is very happily single and my Dad is planning his wedding to number 3. If they are happy then what does it matter. It has not affected me in the slightest.

I'm not against people remarrying, I have been married twice. The couple in question were marrying each other for rhe third time. I have no problem with that either it was just the negative effect it had on their children that was worrying.

Yes I suppose if the children were young it could have a negative affect on them. It must be pretty confusing for them.

I'm 27 and at 8yrs old me Mum and Dad devorrsed(bad spelling I know), meself and me younger sister aged 24yrs old wondered where dad was at first, but life moves on.

Thankfully he maintained contact over the ensuing years unlike some fathers.

Dad re-married, Mum stayed single but life moved on, and still I received the love and affection one expects from mum and dad.
