I think people stew them n stuff like that ......

*wanders off to puke*

Edit-'There are a number of recipes that use giblets. If a bird is to be stuffed, the giblets are traditionally chopped and added to the stuffing. If not, they can be used for other purposes, such as giblet pie or, a Southern favorite, giblet gravy. With the exception of giblet gravy, the liver is not usually included in these recipes, as its strong flavor tends to overpower other ingredients. It may be used in liver-specific recipes, such as pâté or yakitori. Giblets can also be used to make alicot, a French stew.'

bloomin dirty southerners ;)

They are used to make gravy stock (discarded after boiling in water)

Re: Giblets?

aye, boil them in some water, remove and chop up for cat(liver and kidneys), use stock to make the gravy.

Job Done.

Its meat after all. I'm guessing you don't like Kidney and Liver at all then?

i love liver, but i cant eat anything with too much iron in it, it has the same effect/affect (whichevers right) on me as coffee does

Re: Giblets?

cant say as ive ever fancied chicken liver to be honest

Re: Giblets?

I used to freeze and save the chicken livers until Ihad enough to make chicken liver pate (with brandy added) --yummy on toast as a starter with side salad.
Then I found that M&S made it just as good so stopped taking all that trouble.
