Re: weekend breaks?

Re: weekend breaks?
I used to go here several times a year until 2 years ago
Gilsland Spa Hotel - an ideal base for exploring Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding countryside It isn't really a spa - unless you count the sulphur well in the grounds as that. I think that the age group which go will be a little too old for you. It is more of a playground for geordie oldies. Rooms are pristine clean and spacious, food is good, and the geordie welcome is guaranteed. If you want to explore Hadrians wall it is a great base, being right on it and in the middle. |

Re: weekend breaks?
I can recommend the Newby Bridge Hotel, at the bottom end of Lake Windermere. The food there is extremely good and the hotel is very attractive.
My favourite place for weekend breaks is Whitby, though it's a while now since I last went. The town has a lot to offer and there is always plenty of accommodation available, from hotels to guest houses. I particularly like the White House Hotel, on the cliff above Upgang beach, which was our "local" when we lived in Whitby. The rooms are lovely, most of them look out over the sea, and the food, again, is great. |

I would be going still if I could leave my poorly aged tom cat with someone, can't bear to have him put down, when he passes away I will be back :D |

Re: weekend breaks?
I’ve just got back from a four day break at Centre Parc’s, Whinfell Forest, Cumbria.
They have an Aqua Sana located on their site and it fantastic. It’s a little pricey but at the time of booking they had some special deals on. I went to the spa 3 out of the four days I stayed and for at least 4hour + per sessions. Aqua Sana - Experiences It was great... :) |

Re: weekend breaks?
"I've already been to Holland this year, and am just going to the caravan near Garstang for a week in September. Going to Cyprus early next year and then to the Scilly Isles later on in the year."
At least you have your holiday breaks to look forward to :) |
Re: weekend breaks?
lol. This is true, am actually only going on 1 holiday next year now, because my brother has decided he's getting married, so won't be able to afford it. I meant i'd love to go away for a weekend every now and then, but i usually use up my holidays from work! lol.
