Christchurch Street
 

I lived in one of the big garden fronted houses on Christchurch st for a good number of years in the 80's,all the family came to the conclusion that we were not alone in the house,strange things were seen and noises heard.I would love to know of any other odd happenings around that area;and before you ask we were all of sound mind and the kids were too young to drink! :eek:

I never saw anything but my mum felt massively uncomfortable many times,my dad saw something on the stairs and I heard something ,I know it was the floorboards in my room but there was no-one in the house but me and the cat,and he was right beside me! :eek:

if the cat was spooked then there could have been something. cats and dogs apparently sense things like that more than us.

do you remember when that kid was killed at christchurch by a falling tree or branch. or did he fall out of the tree. cant remember.

It was a tomcat,Garfield,and he regularly puffed himself up and hissed in corners where the rest of us saw nothing.He was no softie either he took someone's homing pigeon out of the action in about 1989!I buried it in the garden and felt guilty for weeks;it could have been yards from home and Garfield got it![He had a seagull too!] :D

Mac,
He fell out of the conker tree that stood just inside the churchyard wall,he fell on the wall.The tree was declared unsafe last year and has now been chopped down.

i remember it. i lived on hollins lane. used to play there. i think the triplets used to live on your street. three lads. do you remember them. although i was a few years older than them i used to hang around with them sometimes.

Yep;I remember the triplets!See one of them regularly.My brother is called David,you may remember him,we lived number 5;also a little sis called Vember! :)
