theres a house share on whalley road just off brisbane road ,any ideas ?thats near the stanley boys right?

Presumably it's Brisbane St, other side of Dill Hall lights to Stanley, about a 10 minute walk.

Whalley Road is quite nice but can be a very busy road at times. Brisbane Street is in Clayton le Moors but as Dave says it's within walking distance of the Crown and Stanley.

i would say thats about as good an area as any, in the range yer looking madkev, thats my opinion anyway.:)

I reckon if the house and occupants are OK, you could be onto a winner there, Kev. A decent pub in both directions (Hare & Hounds and Greyhound), a good selection of takeaways and just up the road lies the Field of Dreams. Just the thing for a young feller! :cool:

Nowt wrong with Ossy Kev .. I love it, but all about Location, Location, and reading the posts, sounds like Brisbane Street 'fits in with your requirements' as long as housemates Ok .. there again .. hope you OK too.... 'Madkev' ? :D

Ossy's not bad...some cracking pubs and recent inspection tours have revealed that most of them haven't gone down the nick, like many others in the area. Big drawback is that it's way over on the other side of town from the FES, although there is a direct bus service there. Probably best to check out Brisbane Street first.
