Skin problem
Last week I had a lump on my armpit that was sweating abnormally and it kind of scabbed over and then the next day a rash had spread over my entire arm pit. Its still there and so I've stopped shaving and been applying E45 cream to it (which stings) and its not really going. At first it had a few whiteheads but they've gone. Its also itchy and there is often dry flakey skin coming off it.
It's only on the one armpit so i dont think its an allergy to deoderant or anything like that. Any ideas about what it could be or any creams that might help it? I dont have a doctor in lancaster and my doctor in accy only see's patients on wednesdays so its pretty impossible for me to see one. Hopefully someone could help me, I have no idea what it could be! |
Re: Skin problem
doesn't the Uni have a medical facility.......Preston does, and I would have thought that Lancaster would have one too.
It could be a yeast infection, but you really need to let a professional have a look before slapping any other cream on it. |
Re: Skin problem
I am sure that any GP (in Lancaster)will see you as an emergency too.

Re: Skin problem
it could also be ingrowing hairs, either that or your starting with scabies :D lol

Re: Skin problem
I'd try and see a GP Blazey, I'd also consider changing your GP if they will only see you on Wednesdays thats appalling.

Re: Skin problem
Some people may find this quite minging lol but I dont really shave often and so the hairs are appearing to all be through. I think a new soap may have irritated it perhaps and I will wait and see if it clears up without cream for a while.
Margeret I tried yeast infection stuff and it made no difference so i doubt its that, good thinking though. I will try some natural remedies for shaving rashes first and see if it makes it any better and if not i'll go to the hospital. I dont have a clue about medical facilities, and yeh the lack of doctor time is appalling but he is a great doctor all the same, hence why i've stuck with him. |
