usually not worth it mate, they tend to be disposable items.

Unless its a very high quality laser...

Bin it, like entwisi said they are the disposable item, you'd think it would be the other war round but they sell the printers as low as possible, probably at a loss in many cases and rely on making their money in selling replacement cartridges

Not a laser printer but neither is it one of the cheap disposable ones. The seller is offering to pay for the repair ( or send it back ) but I don't want to traipse round all over the place. Looks like the print head has come loose in transit. Just wanted to make a quick call to see what the repair people thought and if there was a charge to look at it :)

What make is it?
Park computers at Blackburn are/used to be authorised repairers for Epson, but its quite a while since I was told that, also got told at the same time its cheaper to buy a new one than let them repair it :D

They are still listed on the Epson site as authorised service agents. I also suspect your'e right about the options, as soon as the words authorised agents crop up it cost a couple of hundred pounds for them to let you in the shop :)

Just dropped it off at the post office and on it's way back to the person I bought it off. For this particular venture I think I might just stick to new :D
