Acceptable Forum Standards

Who Moderates the Accrington Stanley Thread which contains a "new Song" by Stanley 4 Life ?

Further question is -- should this type of vulgarity, which sadly seems to be acceptable at matches, be tolerated on here ?

Its got asterix in there...Considering the theme of the area ie football its quite tame. No I dont moderate it but I would be very suprised if it gets editied.. Its a football forum... I doubt you will get songs like that in the flower forum but you shouldn't really be suprised to see it where it is IMHO :)

Well, after a couple of weeks I seem to be the only one to criticise the 14 year old and while I normally don`t believe in drawing conclusions, can only do so in this case as there have been 50 or so viewings of the thread.

Kipax -- was not commenting on match behaviour but what is tolerated on this Forum.

Owd Bert - the forum as a whole decides what is and is not acceptable. 50 people have viewed that thread(as you've pointed out, i don't even know what thread your talking about) and NOT ONE person has reported that post. Not even you!! The forum is pretty busy these days which makes it near impossible for people to monitor every posting, that is why we have to rely on the report feature - which sets alarm bells off, sends emails and pms to all people concerned so that a decision can be made.. It's rare that these alarms go off on accyweb, we are quite lucky with this size of forum that this can be said.

Re: Acceptable Forum Standards

Owd bert...Yes I know you where commenting on the forum and not match behaviour... that was obvious... A shame my reply wasn't as obvious. I was explaining that the forum is an extension to the match behaviour and as such quite restrained considering. Sorry you missed that.. hope its clearer now and anyway as pointed out by your good self..... theres only you out of the whole messageboard offended but not even you are offended enough to report the post it seems, so.............

:)

What I want to know is what 14 year olds are doing writing mucky songs when they should be hard at it doing their homework.

Re: Acceptable Forum Standards

Why do you want to know that?

just to confirm that that our current educational system is rubbish

As long as the swear filter is working correctly, I don't see a problem with a bit of malarkey on the forums. It's when they start posting dodgy pictures it becomes a nightmare!

Oh dear......we're not going to start seeing those, are we? That sort of thing always makes my neighbours cat very ill.
