Hair extensions

Recently got my hair cut and the hair dresser cut it shorter than I woul've liked so i'm just wondering if anyone knows if there are specific requirements for hair extentions i.e own hair length, how long they take, how much they cost on average, places to recommend etc...

Thanks

My hair doesn't grow particularly fast. It's taken me months and months just to get it to nearly shoulder length then she cut it all off again :(

Blazey i dont thinkyour hair has to be too long - if the hair at the nape of your neck is short then they may have problems there - its just an issue of belnding your hair in i suppose - my sister in law just had a full head -you'd better sit down - £400
the shampoo/conditioner she has to use to keep the bonds tight comes in at around £20 for a small bottle
and i have known people who have had to have their hair cut even shorter when the extensions have come out because they have left their hair in a bad state
patience is cheaper :D

Keetah's right, they're dear. They do them at a lot of hairdressers these days. The one I go to, Urban Retreat, near Accy Vic Hospital does them. They take ages and cost a fortune. They look great when they're done but they are a great expense that as a student you can probably ill afford.
