Proper Gutted (stupid me!!!)
 

Ok bought a new pc the other week, thought nice on ill play me games on it, couldnt get used to the keys and mouse so invested in a wired 360 controller! bought it last night for £24.99, nnn eeee wayyss, got it home and started the ordeal of openen the box, got me scissors and away i went, Now talk about stupid i cut the wire!!!!!! so obviously now it dont work, Yeah ya can laugh, i didnt like as you can imagine, all it needs is soldering back onto the board inside (I Think) n e one reckon they can fix it for me, Would really really appreciate it if n e one could

Could you not fix it with choky blocks (sp?) and insulation wire? Thats what mick uses to fix any broken wires! might not look so good but at least it would be workin!

im not really sure might have to try it, i cut the wire properly last night and connected all the wires back together, but still wouldnt come on, in some wires theres loads of metal wiren and insulation around it not sure if these are important or not

Are the wires under the insulation screened, like TV Coax cable,
if they are and the tiniest bt of screening touches the other wires it won't
work.

I would try taping them together, I know I did the same on a CCTV camera and taping them worked for a while.

it keeps smoken at uz!!! lol obviously nowt to worrie about cause its just tiny little wires, n e way i think its needs taken apart, the original bit of wiren needs taken off the circuit board and then the end that i cut, needs soldering back on to replace the old wire if that makes sense

OMG! ID TAKE IT BACK AND PRETEND IT WAS LIKE THAT IN THE BOX ooops, sorry bout the caps! neway, pretend it was like that wen u opened it! call me dodgy but its worth a try

failing that, get a circuit diagram off the net and work it out from there, if u need a hand soldering, im a dab hand, giz a shout

use the chocky blocks to connect the wires! dont just twist em together and tape it up!
either that or ask sparkologist!

you have pushed the button to switch it on once you have connected it havent you ?
i know it sounds daft but my fella grunted many things saying he couldnt get his wireless one to work all he had to do was press the button lol

nah mate still nackered, ive given up and gone back to me normal pc controller
