Possibly so.....but as the Spanish are constantly reminding me if you wanted something yesterday....why not ask for it yesterday?

My daughter once bought me a glass tankard for fathers day with the inscriptionTHE NO.1 DAD ON EARTH.We had a row 2 days before Fathers Day,so she kept it in her bedroom for a year and then gave it to me.Ah well better late than never.

i'm ashamed to say that i've bought my daddy nowt for fathers day, we went into Accy together yesterday and i asked him what he wanted and he said 'nowt i've got everything i need' and he has, i bought him some new lamps for christmas and they are still sat in the box that they came in, think i might give him a few of my spuds or some of my pansies ;)

My dad got a bottle of 12 year old malt whiskey; gave it him tonight so he doesn't have to cart it round at cricket at the weekend.
He told me I shouldn't have but I know he was chuffed, you only get one Dad, one of my best mates lost his Dad to lung cancer today, I can't imagine how that feels.

Re: Fathers Day Gifts

My dad has several hobbies, and he is very specific when buying stuff, so if you buy him pressies, you usually get the wrong one, we agreed years ago to give him money and he buys his own, or puts it towards his holiday fund, boring but easy, and suits him best.

I did do Bernie.

I would say to all who still have their dads/stepdads you dont know what you've got till he isnt there. Tell him you love him and have a joke and a laugh.

I didnt get to see my dad today before he went for an evening meal, and only saw some of my kids briefly this morning, through no fault of my own I had to work, (poor organisation on anothers part), the best part is, the day was a complete washout as far as work was concerned, so much for helping out! (it was unpaid work on fathers day huh).

I got a fancy little carrier bag with dad written on the side, filled to the top with shredded yellow tissue paper, not much of a gift you might think, until I reached into the bottom and found a mug with piccies of my granddaughter on it.

Oh and I got a card as well though for some reason I didn't find the £20 note I expected to be in it!

:(

I got a card from my son for Father's Day .. stating you have been Mum and Dad to me ... yes, I have, but brought me to tears with the acknowledgment.

By the way Jamie .. Happy 26th Birthday .. xx

Kate a very caring lad, I am sure you are very proud.

My daughters thought for some reason that I needed sweet smelly stuff from Marks......Shower gel, Body Spray, After Shave...the works.
I have come indoors many a time from a hard day on the treadmill and been greated with the loving expression 'You smell like a Pow Cat'.
I got these presents early and dutifully used them all.
Mrs Meldrew said, only today......You smell wonderful.
My wife stopped patronising me a few years ago.
I'm begining to look in the mirror once again.
I am not sure if the compliment was meant for me or for my daughters for buying the stuff for me in the first place.
Women can't be trusted...........even the older one's :globwhore

My Gradson's birthday today.........Happy Birthday Thomas 9 Years
