Not something I'd discuss in the normal course of conversation - might mention it to Busman though.

Re: Would you say this to a friend?

Well, I have had conversations with friends in the past on problems with bowels .. not usually mine thank goodness .... women are guilty of this ... however, only last week had conversation with Mez about a trot problem after consuming too much wine. Better sign out now...

On a scale of one to ten are you inclined to refer to a Richard as a rowing boat or a battleship?

Re: Would you say this to a friend?

Why is it ok to talk about your sex life but not something else that may be bothering you?? Maybe if folks were more open minded about bowel or any other problems deaths could be avoided!!!! Sex is not the be all and end all although it might seem like it is at times in your life but surely you should be able to talk about a bowel or bladder problem to your true friends just as easily as your sex problems!!!

Re: Would you say this to a friend?

I would prefer to talk about my bowel habits to a friend(most of my friends are nurses, so nothing put us off our grub) than talk about my sex life......that IS private.

Re: Would you say this to a friend?

I say what needs to be said, and if it is about my bowel movements then so be it, saves people suffering in silence and what may be seen as a "crude" conversation could turn into something useful and helpful

That's why you don't break wind all that often ... you don't close your mouths long enough for the pressure to build up.:hidewall:

Or when we fart as much as you and stink the house out:p

Sounds like an urban myth to me ... and didn't Einstein state that nothing could travel at the speed of light:dancedog:

This reminds me of a sketch on the Goon Show many years ago.

Eccles pointing to a skull that he had just dug up. - “I wonder who that was?”

Neddy – “I don’t know but it was a woman.”

Eccles in amazement – “How do you know?”

Neddy – “It’s got it’s mouth open.”

Ah, the Goon Show ... that's stretching the old memory. Used to listen to it on my gran's radio ... along with the Archers, Lost in Space, and a little later, Hancock's Half Hour. I can even remember Listen With Mother ... shoot, I must be getting up there.:D
