Call into Accy library, upstairs in the records dept. there are books which record who lived where and when. The duty clerk will show you where they are and explain how to check them.

The past few tennants are all female, and im still receiving mail for them lol

Cant say its bothered me, I dont find it at all uncomfortable, just someone who was here got kinda spooked and was convinced that someone was here

I have smelt "strange" smells, mainly sweet tobacco smoke (pipe smoke) but only once or twice and it has generally been when my little ones have been off colour. Last night my guest swore that there was someone stood looking out of my kitchen window, smelt what I had previously smelt(although at this time i didnt smell it) and although when he looked he couldnt actually see someone he had a mental image of someone who he had never seen before (this is all very strange lol) the only sensation I had last night at the time was "goose bumps" which I get from time to time and just dismiss

I agree that it seems to be a visiting spirit.
It is not necessarily a past resident.
It could be a deceased relative of yours, especially since 'he' showed when your twins were ill.
I would not be alarmed by it, rather think that you may well have a 'guardian angel'.
Only if the appearances disturb you to the point where you are afraid, would I recommend you try to stop the visits.
Another member, Doug, is a practicing spiritualist and could tell you more, but he hasn't been on the forum for a while - probably busy with his new business venture.

I knew the old couple who lived in my flat before me, the chap actually died whilst living there, I occasionally felt like some one else was in the room when I first moved in about 17 years ago, but that didn't last long, now I have only my own ghst to put up with:D
