Worry
How does it affect you?
I don´t eat and find it hard to sleep but ´im indoors seems to take it into his stride. Until his psoriasis kicks in that is. Would you worry before it happens or look on the bright side and expect it not to? I´m more or less asking how full your glass is. |

I always worry if i'm going to do something that makes me nervous(like getting married!) and imagine all worst case scenarios only to find out every time that it is never as bad as i think its going to be! So basically i get wound up for nothing! I guess i'm a glass half empty kind of girl most of the time but i would love to be the other way around like my other half! Nowt fazes him! |
Re: Worry
I brought the subject up because it´s looking like his job contract won´t be renewed at the end of the month. Nothing that he´s done wrong but some sort of internal politics. I´m wide awake and worrying and there he is snoring his head off!!
Obviously a glass half full sort of bloke!! |

Re: Worry
Well as a bloke I try not to worry (being a chronic asthmaic its a nono) I always take one day at a time, and tend to think that my glass is half full as opposed to half empty, but if anyone wants to fill the glass to the top you can find me in Ossy Socal Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays, until September:D:rolleyes::mosher:

Re: Worry
I've always say I don't worry about stuff I can't change and don't worry about it when its happened as I can't change it.
I'll focus on the things I can change and not worry about them till they need it. |
Re: Worry
Like you June I am a worrier and when I am worried puts me off my food. One good thing it helps the waistline!!
|
Re: Worry
Remember the good old serenity prayer from school....
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change Courage to change the things I can And wisdom to know the difference. In other words, if you can't do anything about it then don't wear yourself out moithering over it. Wise words. :) |

Re: Worry
worrying makes me sick so i cant eat ....
everything worries me!!! I panic at the slightest thing and, like loz imagine the worse things possible happening. |
Re: Worry

Am i the only comfort eater out there!! |
Re: Worry
No Loz, you're not the only one, I too comfort eat when im worried
Although saying that im so laid back most of the times i dont seem to get worried all that muchq |
Re: Worry
I tend to drink like a fish, constantly thinking f*** 'em.No honestly i tend to laugh in the face of adversity and from experience it all works out better than you feared.DON'T LET IT GET YOU DOWN.There's always someone else worse off than yourself.:)
|
Re: Worry
Thats my problem emzy i'm not laid back at all!
I am constantly worrying about things therefore eating rubbish!! Need to have a rethink on life methinks! |
Re: Worry
Just dont let it bother you, bad things happen, its a way of life, pointless letting it get you down, just carry on and you'll always find a way through it, I do, just try not to let things phase me. So long as my boys are fine, my families fine and im ticking over then everything will be ok

Seeing as i'm starting a new life with my new hubby maybe its time to start up with a different outlook on life! |
Re: Worry
Exactly, forget about the past (and beleive me, ive had a pretty crappy one) and think about the future. Life is what you make it so just be happy and enjoy it. Things are sent to test and try you but you shouldnt let it get you down, just look forward to the good things and take the rest in you're stride

Good on ya!!
|
Re: Worry
I do try not to worry about something till it happens. Worrying just gives ya wrinkles.
But if I am worried depressed or what ever then I just constantly feed my sweet tooth. |

Re: Worry
I tend to be a worrier even my grandson has told me, If you worry you die, if you don't worry you die so why worry. Not that it made any difference, I go off my food and cannot sleep, and believe me I worry over the slightest thing, once got told If there was nothing to worry over I'd worry, because of the fact there was nothing.

Re: Worry
Simple as
Dont worry be happy and Always look on the bright side of life :theband: |
Re: Worry
when i worried, i dont eat, sleep and im very irritable, god help anyone who gets in my way....:o
Im usually worried when my kids are ill:( |
Re: Worry
I try to live by the " don't sweat the small stuff" motto but if it's big stuff I struggle sleeping.
|
Re: Worry
Im not a worrier, no point worrying about what you cant change.
But I am a bad sleeper, mainly cos head is too full of ideas, which is different to worrying. to help you sleep try uhmmm breathing - from yoga and if that dosnt work try not sleeping! |
Re: Worry
I am one of Nature's pessimists but that means I don't get clobbered by the bad stuff (because I'm expecting it) and I'm pleasantly surprised when the good stuff happens. When something really awful happens I can't eat and I can't sleep. I try very hard not to worry about things and my waistline says, these days, I must be succeeding. ;)

Re: Worry
I'm quite good for not worrying too much about things.
I always tell myself that me worrying about something won't be affected by my fretting. I'd much rather use my energy to try and alleviate what might be potentially a worry. Perhaps it's like other things I don't do, like jealousy, or rage, it takes way too much effort. Guess I'm just emotionally lazy.:D |
Re: Worry
Quite topical for me this really, normally nothing can faze me but had a lot of bad stuff happen over the last month or so and it has got me worrying about absolutely everything, what is going to go wrong next sort of thing ... getting panic attacks the lot ... not good
|
Re: Worry
SamF,
Take some time out to think properly about whats happened and what you could do about it, I bet there was nothing or very little. Such is the way of the world and its not going to change anytime soon. There is a study that the people who seem "lucky" are the ones who are open to experiences, embrace what comes at you , learn from their mistakes and appreciate that excrement happens. You will be a far stronger person if you take this attitude and be less fazed when the big stuff happens. Good luck! |
