Dont suppose n e one knows where i can download a copy of vista? Ive lost my original! I do have an official product key so this is not illegal before the so called computer experts start!!:rolleyes:

Depending on the disk you had, a lot package the relevant drivers for that make of machine. E.g. My dell came with a vista disk but it wouldn't work in an acer due to driver issues and vice versa.

So i have two disks here but neither are likely to work.

I would be very surprised if you could just download one from microsoft

If you have a product serial code then you shouldnt have a problem getting a new cd through contacting microsoft - I am sure they have a help section for damaged / lost cds
if you are like me you probably want it yesterday and cant wait - but i think you may have to - hope you get sorted soon x

Cheers! Ive had a good look through and it still seems ya have to pay, and im sorry but think microsoft make enough money without charging for the disc!! Im maken a stand against mcrosoft and refusing to pay what there asken!! :D Im sure the money they lose from me not buying the software will bring microsoft to there knees:cool: (OR NOT!!)

If you still have the receipt Microsoft should be able to provide you with a replacement Vista dvd. Contact them on 0870 601 0100. Go through the automated phone system following home user prompts then products and replacement discs. There will probably be a charge for postage.

theres quite a few versions of vista and your key will only work with the version it is meant for

is your key for vista hom , vista ultimate and so on , is it 32bit or 64 bit version

you could be downloading a hell of a lot of gigabytes before you finaly find one your key works with lol
