My Daughter got a renewal notice for her car insurance last week, she's 40 so no problem about age, she was with the AA. her new quote came through nearly £100 more than the previous year yet she has a full no claims and has not had a bump. She shopped around and got a quote for £40 less than she paid last year, not only that but she changed her buildings and contents insurance over to the same company and ended up on the three policies saving £235 pounds a year.

They do it and can get away with it because a lot of people cannot be
bothered to shop around so they will just pay what they are asking

Ya AL but I think when you get a bill which asks you to pay £100 more than the previous year, it seems to focus the mind on finding a cheeper alturnative really:rolleyes:

Ya would of thought so yes, but a lot don't

It's like those that buy EVERYTHING (within reason) on Ebay,
quite a bit of the time you get it cheaper if ya actually look somewhere else

They get ripped off cos they can't be bothered clicking a few buttons or actually getting out the house

bit of a tip if you ever loose your no claims

bell direct are pretty cheap and also do a 11 month policy which they give you 1 years no claims for as long as you dont claim obviously and you can cary that 1 year no claims across to another company

it sounds strange getting 1 year no claims for 11 months but thats somthing they do
