that is a really tough question, not sure what I would do cant I just keep it all ?

Give the half a million to the nursing home that my mum is now as they are really worth there weight in gold.

With the other half I'd pay of my overdraft and do my house up. Might move house and then set a trust fund up with the rest for my kids.

I would look at providing community facilities.......lunch clubs for elderly , disabled and disadvantaged....these would be provided in already existing facilities(so no need to buy cokkers and kitchen equipment).......I would provide transport to and from the lunch clubs( using taxi firms and mini buses)........I would look at providing and distributing warm winter bedding and clothing to the elderly and disadvantaged.
I would like to look at providing activity clubs for children.....healthy activities(sport,dancing etc)
I would like to look at providing days out and short holiday breaks for the elderly, disabled and families on low incomes......nothing like a trip to Disney....but trips to the
seaside in this country.
I would look at improving the home environments of the elderly and disadvantaged......enlisting local businesses in decorating and repairing homes......making them more comfortable to live in(this would also put money into the local economy)

I'm pretty sure that all of these things would lighten the lives of folks who could do with some help in their lives.....I'm also fairly sure that half a milllion would'nt be enough to do all of these things.......and would be prepared to donate the more of the money to these worthy causes.
