my two cats
 

please does anyone know if they are people that take in cats as i am lodging at my friends house and they dont want my cats so till i get sorted out with my own place i was wondering if anyone can take them in temparary then give them back when i sorted out

Are they castrated/neutered/wormed/fleatreated? Are they male/female? What ages are they? Have they ever been 'fostered' before?
Are they sociable with other cats? I may have an interest here but I have 3 cats and the eldest is 19 years and a bit cantankerous.
The 'boys' are 3 year old twins and reasonably friendly.
We will be on hol 26th Sept - 10th October. PM me for details if this suits.
All being well, I will do it for the price of their food, plus litter @ £5.00 per fortnight.

PS Assuming my neighbour (who deal's with them on hols) agrees.

They will need magnetic cat flap attachments on their collars, to enable them to get through the cat flap!

yes they are both male been flea sprayed 8 month old shy around other cats but they dont bite or scratch they are lovely ill give you my number then we can sort something out thanks 07530945502

From the very little I have learnt about cat's during this last year, do you really want to trust yours to someone that plans to let them roam?

Surely if they are in a strange environment once given their freedom through the cat flap they will leave the strange area and try to find their way home?

Better for you if the offer comes from someone that will keep them enclosed, well fed & watered, etc. than trusts to luck that they would return to a strange territory?

But then, what do I know? More experienced cat owners can surely give you advice.

cats should be kept indoors for a while when they move to a new place, or they will try and find their way 'home'

We've always had cats. One time, when we moved, we intended keeping them in for a while, as per usual. First night there, got woken up just after midnight by banging at the door. Someone had set the empty house next door on fire. We hadn't got round to fitting the smoke alarm coz we were so tired, so hadn't realized. The smoke was pretty bad, and as soon as we opened the front door, one cat shot out.....and straight into the burning house. We thought we'd never see her again. Firemen searched the house for her but couldn't find her.
She did turn up again though, 3 days later. a little nervous, but otherwise OK. Still haven't figured out how she got out, unless she leapt through a broken window

I would imagine that if you explained the situation at your vets, or spoke to the RSPCA they would certainly point you in the right direction of who could look after the pair of them. I know the RSPCA do fostering.

I have 3 cats myself & given normal circumstances I would certainly offer, but we are having work done in the house next week & our 3 are going have to spend at least a couple of days living in our bedroom, so it would be fair on either yours or mine, as they wouldn't be able to get away from one another. Bless them.
