wheres ultrasound dept?
 

i have a scan tomorrow at blackburn....i dont know my way around (exept eye clinic and childrens day ward) can anyone give me directions please?

IIRC go through main doors, turn right, turn left at shops, turn left at the lifts and follow signs for X-Ray dept, ultrasound is just before the X-Ray dept.
East to find, I was there a few week back

all i really needed to know is that you use the main enterance..... burnley and airedale have different enterances for everything, if you go to the main enterance you have abig trek to get to the right one at airedale.

since my bladders gunna be full i dont wanna be wandering all over the place.

Emma, it is not near Xray as far as I remember. The ultrasound you want is in the maternity day clinic bit. As said in main rotary door thing (if you can fit your bump in it ;) ) and turn right, left at shop then right just past the lifts. That is the long corridor and as you walk down you will see the walls change - that is the old hospital. What you want is farther down on the left.

It is well signed though.

As you turn off the corridor the first room and desk is for up downstairs problems - walk straight on through the door into the big room that looks like a Japanese fishing boat ;) and the desk is on the left.

Emma, if you know where the childrens clinic is, then it's on level two, near the childrens clinic, just keep walking. It's near to the canteen as well

Yes, she will be on level if she stays on the same level as the new main door and shop

Well the bit you end up on in the old half is the old level two - I still think it is level 2 when you get to the old bit. It is the same level that you used to enter at the big doors near the old canteen.

It is level two Emma, if you know where the childrens clinic is you'll find it no problem

What I am saying is that the shops and the main entrance are on level one, so she needs to get in the lift and go to level two and then follow your instructions.

Yep you are right I just checked, I am getting confused with the old entrance being on level 2 even though it is at ground.

It is on level 2, inbetween the Children's Clinic and X-Ray. It is based in the Antenatal and Gyneacology clinic.:)

This hospital is so big that you need to be fit and healthy to make it to the department you need.

I believe they have the signs but they can't afford the scandalous prices the contract firm charges to screw them to the wall :rolleyes::D
