Christmas tree and lights and so on.... I have made space for mine but I don't put it up until the 12 December or there abouts.....

I put mine up when i feel ready and xmasy but them accross road from me have had theirs up for 2 weeks now! potty i think.

I am finding it really hard to get that xmasy feeling.... I know its early but I am hearing alarm bells and not jingle bells with the credit crunch... so I feel this year will be back to old values.... ( which are the most important ones) and I think I will have to believe again in Father Christmas..... or go bah hum bug ( and the price of hum bugs are over ten bob ) :-)

Mine will be going up beginning of december at some point, will jsut do it when im ready and child free

I will be putting mine up 1st week in December.Bought all my pressies already and wrapped them,but will wait till December before writing out the cards. lol

I put my cards up if & when they arrive and take them down about march when I remember, which reminds me, time to take the Fathers day card down!

I usually put em up at the beginning of December, but get sooo fed up with em by the time new year comes, so might leave it until later this year.....but they will be coming down straight after the new year!

As i said last year in the same type of thread i put our up 12 days before Christmas and take them down 12 days after Christmas

By the way if anyone has some spare tree decs for a smallish tree i would be very grateful.
we have been given a fiber optic one that needs small decs but we have none and cant really afford them this year

I would have put them up at the weekend, but, Phil wouldn't let me! :(. I have to wait untill the last weekend this month. I'm in the Christmas mood, I love it! I'm like a kid, and Phil looks at me like :rolleyes:
I got Phil to get all the cards out for me yesturday so I can start to write them all out!!


Oo oo, We got our 1st card today, :D, from The Royal Mail, lol.

Mine are on a shelf in the cupboard where i saw the mouse

although the shelf is 6ft up so not sure, but its a good excuse lol :D

I don't want to know about Christmas until December.

Before I had children I would put the decs up round about the 20th of December........now I am pestered from December 1st. :rolleyes:

I usually cave in round about the 12th December. :D

I take them down on New Year's Day.......it's all over with by then and if I leave it until later I will have to do it one day after work.

Generally roughly a week before Xmas, & then 12 days later down they come. Last year we had no tree, as the youngest cat kept pulling it down, this year seeing as he's a year older & we've got a bigger tree, we're hoping that it'll be possible to have the tree up.

I was going down town on tuesday .....and theres a house just further down from the victoria that has a christmas tree in the window ...blue and silver!!!! Also noticed the two houses at the bottom of my avenue has their christmas lights up outside and they were lit up tonight .....

Mine gets put up when i feel like it .... and took down when i feel like it. My brother goes and gets his xmas tree on xmas eve ... and then takes it down in the new year!!!
