Is it possible to get a VCR repaired these days ? Whatever happened to Laroc the Video Doc ?

Top of Queen St Gt Harwood, turn left, end of next block, 2nd hand furniture shop, chap upstairs used to repair tele's & videos.
Have'nt been there for ages, there so cheap these days, sometimes not worth repairing.
