recommend me a driving instructor
 

after years & years of nagging I am giving in to her..:(
I am looking to find a decent driving instructor who wont charge the earth and comes highly recommended.
I am quite competant behind the wheel, just dont have the official card to do it legally so thats my challenge for jan 2009..to get my licence.
so who do you know folks...one in clayton would help.

Hiya, I went with a guy called Ken. He is a ace driving instructor that I went with. I haven't passed ( due to me giving up, probably because I am shhhh scared of going in for my test ) But he is fantastic.
He told me I was ready ages before I gave up, I just didn't have the confidence ( and still don't ) My fault not his. But he said he wouldn't take any more money because I didn't need it!! Which to me is very fair.

He is very down to earth!! if ya knows what ya doing he will just let you cart on and I know people that have passed no problem after having him as a driving instructor.

Just off High street on Tother side of T' Bridge from Ferngore :D I recommend ya have a word with him!! His prices weren't bad either.... like I said, that was about 14 month ago... but can't see him changing them much, and he won't take the proverbial ;);)

I was taught by his dad, and i know they are well thought of in the industry, When I was taught there were only 3 or 4 that had the top ranking, and both Jax, and Jaxon were two of them.

My whole family (and we're irish catholics, so theres a few!) were taught by them, and I cant sing their praises enough. Things may have changed now (I Passed a while ago), but they used to teach you how to drive on the actual test routes, to get you completely familiar with stuff. Really good

I know a couple of people who have passed there test recently with Jaxon and they highly recommend him too, they said he was a very good instructor

Longdens SOM for me and Julie. Veryy highly recommended, he's ex Plod and sensible in his approach to the whole thing. Julie tried a couple of others in her time of learning but went back to Pete as he was teh best for her.

I have used a couple of driving instructors now and by far the best one I've used is a guy called Derek Schofield. He's really calm and informative and he passes this on to you without patronizing you and making you feel daft!!!! His number is in the yellow pages.
