Re: Gas?

|
Re: Gas?
if you are being billed shouldnt it be cheaper than pre-payment?
|
Re: Gas?
I use a card i pay at PP...monthly
|
Re: Gas?
There is another thread about this somewhere, I think entwisi started it, the cost of your gas bill will be massively variable from one house to another, number of people, amount of cooking, hot water useage, heating usage, glazing, insulation, etc, I know that emmamums system was not very economical, the boiler itself is about 70% efficient at best, if you have a condensing boiler, it could be well over 90% efficient. I could go on and on, again, but i wont lol.

i too am on a pre pay (and i wouldnt be doing without it EVER) and i put £50/£60 in a month, depending on how warm i wanna be, Reece doesnt like being warm for some strange reason, radiators give him a headache, so i just try to put them on to warm the house up, then switch them off soon after. I have my hot water on perminantly too |

Hi Panther, I pay £33 per month, but you should bear in mind derekgas's remarks. And before you ask I'm with Scottish & Southern.

Oh a fire in the living room, but i i have an electric cooker. What do you have ...a flat? |
Re: Gas?
I am very snug with 24C temp and hot water - both for 24 hrs a day
Small flat with an efficient new boiler £60 a month for both gas and electricity (dual fuel tariff) |
Re: Gas?
Hi again Panther, I have a three-bedroom bungalow with a gas fire, gas central heating powered by an old back boiler (baxi bermuda springs to mind), and a full gas oven. We are two adults, no kids, and we're retired. Whilst we don't have a hothouse we certainly don't get cold, we just try to be sensible with the old thermostat.
