i remember seeing the for sale board up for a few weeks and now there's scaffolding

is it still going to be a club or some more flats?

Willow Street it was a restaurant before that, will have a look when I'm passing. Probably making it into flats as if there aren't enough lying empty:rolleyes:

Yeah Berkley Manor,.... though I feel a bit agrieved calling it "manor" makes it sound rather grand when it really wasn't... well not when I went anyway:D

Don't know whether there has been any further discussion on this nightclub spot, but there is a new premises licence been applied for in respect of the premises known as Voodoo Lounge/Opium, The Berkeley Manor. Covers opening hours, live, recorded music, dancing and sale of alcohol. Michael Cookson, the appicant.

Guess it is re-opening then ?

had n works xmas do yon meself, in "Boy Georges" day, was a gaffer we used to call Boy George n the D.J. played Karma Chamelion fer him, he was not amused, but we were.:D;)

Voodoo lounge was ok actually but never an earlier than 10 pm kind of place.If it re opened it would be hard to see how it would not be a place that youngsters turn up at midnight type bar.however at least it be somewhere for that young age group to go because even that age group are struggling to get excited about accy now.
Get 'funnies' re-opened i say,i could get down with all the loonies again ;)
