Ah yes, it only shows the last 5 donations so the longest gap I have between karma awards is 25th June - 18th July.

Yes anonymous karma is correct for a couple of reasons, one being when some simpleton receives anonymous karma then gives out negative karma to the wrong person as revenge and signs it with one of their moronic moans then the receiver can laugh about how the other person once again jumped to the wrong conclusion, this couldn't happen if we were forced to sign all karma.

The second reason is a little simpler, Roy decided that is how karma works on this site so everyone can either like it or lump it, but it won't change.

As for causing members to leave, from what I understand from many of your posts, you often receive bad karma but you haven't left, so the answer would appear to be, NO!

:)

People that don't sign karma are not cowards, they are using choice, do I sign it or don't I?

If you sign it & it's red some small minded idiot might decide on a karma war because they have lost something that doesn't exist.

Alternatively you may give green and some people then think they are obliged to give it straight back to you which makes the giving a little pointless.

However if you don't sign it that is because it is 'your choice', also it is wonderful to see the silly people that can't take criticism ranting on about something that in 'real life', they should be able to dismiss with a shrug of the shoulders.

Actually, someone who decides to be abusively anonymously is a coward. There is a difference between criticism and abusive behaviour where I am from. I'm never had a teacher in an educational establishment say the F word about me for example in a parents evening or a school report, or even in the class room at me. And I've pushed some teachers quite far.

Saying that though, I've never been treated quite as much like an idiot as I am on here, which probably makes all the difference to why I have done well regardless to all my other setbacks whilst there are a lot of people who HAVE been told they're an idiot throughout the lives and start to believe it. Self-fulfilling prophecy I believe they call that?

Also, if someone was to shout that you a stupid old git from their bedroom window in the street then hide, would you consider THAT their choice as well?

You'd probably find it intimidating and cowardly. And you'd probably post about it :p

What on earth have teachers using bad language got to do with it? This is a web site not a school.

You think you get treated like an idiot? Well looking at some of your posts over the past couple of days I can understand why, but look on the bright side an idiot is at least one notch up from a moron so at least your getting the benefit of somebodies doubts.

Yes I would consider it their choice, obviously it is their choice because they decided to have this highly unlikely outburst.

I would find it strange and most probably amusing and yes, I would post about it, it would go straight into 'Today I met an accywebber', because obviously whoever shouted such a thing knows me.

Its only quite recently that I found out where Karma was registered, and that was by accident. I think I have only given neg Karma once, because I don't really see the point, I have received very little really, but when I have its never been signed. I have occasionally received positive Karma which is also unsigned, which is rater frustrating as I always like to thank people for their kind gesture

it's both cowardly and a choice. They aren't FORCED into calling you that, but it is abusive and unnecessary.

I think similar things about a lot of the people on this forum but I control myself and don't feel the need to put them down like that, in such a pathetic and unconstructive manner.

If you want to condone that sort of language then that is fine, but I find it disgraceful.

You are absolutely spot on Blazy......In real life, snide comments and down right ignorance does not go unnoticed and hiding behind a little red button, which we are told is of no consequence, is either childish or ignorant.
The Karma can be ignored but the comments can not.
Referance to idiots and morons can also be ignored when they come from a nonentity.

Did you ask her if you could mention that? Or did you just grass her up as your own form of revenge?

I would call this retaliation, just sit down, suck your thumb and admit that you and a certain older member should not be let loose on a website until you understand what you're both kicking against?

I get the distinct impression that the Karma system was your brainchild.
I note with interest that you condone the abuse that is contained within this system.
Most members are not privy to what is contained in the comments but if you are as important to Accyweb as you say you are and have influence to make changes, read the abusive comments and come back with your explanation as to why this abuse is allowed?
Please, no smart arse comments about being let loose on a website.

What a pathetic post to make, if you can't recall I can. This is the one and only red karma I have awarded in my two years as a member. And as for you not being able to retaliate by awarding me red back you wouldn't be able to as it was that awarded me red first (unfairly) so you got it back. If you had been justified in blaming me for ruining your "Chelmsford Estates" thread I would have let it go. As I said in my comment then "grow up"!!!!!

Karma is, as you say, a bit of fun, abuse in any way shape or form is not.

Every time we have a cry baby thread about karma, and God knows there's been enough, the same advice is trotted out to those who moan about abuse.

If a karma message break this forum's rules by being obscene or abusive, report it to a moderator, and the matter will be resolved, and the sender will receive whatever action the moderators see fit, as the karma system isn't anonymous to them, unlike ourselves.

Simple.

I've joined a Spnaish forum, and they, like many other forums, have a similar system, except there's is called a 'smite' button, but which does the same thing.

I think l'll go and see if l can get smitted on it.

just because you use non foul words so the site sensorship dosnt stop you posting them in open forum dosnt make threats ok

iv had colourful lanuguage in my karma comments and upon reflection yes i am an a$$hole but if it wasnt for a$$holes there would be no one to deal with turds like you whoever you were lol :D

christ the karma envy of some people on here is obsurd and every few months or so up pops a thread about karma where the same people gather to moan about how unfair it is they dont have as much as someone else and how deeply offened they have been because someone got fed up of their constant sniping and moaning

maybe it isnt the system in where the problem lies but more closer to home

no one forces you to come here so if you dont like the system in place then sod off to a website that is more agreeable to your taste instead of constantly droaning on and on about how life isnt fair

should be ok to do so in the next 24 hours it says so dont hold your breath its hard to moan if you do

ps:

iv also reported your post for using vulgar and offensive language lol

Don't recall 'crying' about anything. I couldn't give a toss who posts me bad or good karma, I was just quoting the last karma I received. Please explain how it is the second time 'I have cried about it' and sorry to disappoint you but I am not in the least upset about it. Anybody who knows me knows that I couldn't care less what people say or think about me. My post didn't use any vulgar or offensive language, and as for you reporting me I will be that upset that I will be crying myself to sleep for the next few weeks:):)

I am now going to swing around 180 degrees, All karma good or bad should be signed!

Some anonymous swine gave me good karma for a comment in this thread and also promised me a pint, but I don't know who the, (expletive deleted), is.

Is this some form of cowardly teasing or just some sicko that hates me out for revenge?

I know I won't sleep until I find out who it is.

What on earth if Chelmsford Estate?

I can't even remember.

And that post was actually in praise of you for being honest about your disdain for my post. Not a 'retaliation'. Why would it be retaliation? There isn't any shame in giving out red karma is there?

People on this forum are really strange. I can't get my head around it.

Anyway the best rep systems I've seen are ones that only allow for giving 'thanks' to someone. They encourage flaming each other in public though but I don't think that is discouraged on Accyweb.

I think Accyweb is a bit like a playground. I never cared much for school when I was there and I don't particularly care for it now. It's all a bit tiresome. The people from school who were always on the outsides of the groups seemed to always be the ones who went the furthest though. The others all held each other back.

I'm liked by the people I want to be liked by on this forum and that is all that really matters. Can't please everyone

As I said my red karma to you was tit for tat, nothing to do with any post. As per usual you only read what you want into anything anybody says. As you say no shame in giving red karma but no wonder people often don't sign it if members are going to make public who has awarded it!!!

So I was corrct was I? Don't really understand that. Obviously you can't read properley or you don't understand the Engish language. In the Burnley results thread I was thanking the pratt who gave me negative karma, and in this thread I was just quoting the karma that the pratt gave me. Not once have I moaned about negative karma, I COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS ABOUT POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE KARMA. As for giving you some good karma, well, you can stick your karma up your 'sooty arse' Now let me get back to my sleepless nights.:D

I'm suprised at that comment. I always thought you didn't give a toss if anybody liked you. I guess not everything in life turns out the way you plan it ;)

In person I like Blazey, face to face she comes across as a very pleasant and reasonable young adult it's only once she's left on her own with a keyboard that things seem to go wrong.
