It would be a good idea if you got someone to show you how to do it in case the lights go off in the middle of the night. Or worse the sockets and you can't use Google to work out how to do it :D

Showing me how to do it wouldn't help, you know I'd only forget. :D

I have a torch and a handy book which my dad gave me when i moved out of their house - it's got really simple 'how to fix things' in it with nice pictures. I have lived on my own before and I did cope. Apart from the time the bird flew in - I definitely didn't cope with that.:D

I would not attempt anything to do with electricity not worth it. Get my uncle who is an electrician. To dangerous if you dont know what your doing especially electricity, get it wrong and i guess you would be in for a nasty shock or worse.

That book would be ok if you still had gas lights :p:D

What about Chris, can he sort it out while you stand looking helpless batting your eye lashes at him?

Of course he can.

When the burglar alarm decided to go off the other morning because it's insides had frozen, who do you think was up the ladder with the screwdriver and who do you think was still in bed. Although, I did get up once to see what all the noise was and he made me hold the torch for a bit.

Am now officially barred from meddling with anything electric.

That's exactly why I don't go anyway near he sparky boxes Wyn, the fact is that this day and age it wold be hard work dragging an oxygen bottle around if my machine was off:D

my grandad showed me how to do all sorts of things when i first lived on my own... now i find its usually easier to just do it myself instead of asking someone else :)

Why did you ask Neil?

Planning a fuse rewiring service? :D

Not only can I rewire it, I can fit a new consumer unit in place of it.... lol
