Does anyone work for or know anything about
 

Hyndburn Homes? My hubby applied for a job with them through an agency before the 20th March. No one has been given the job yet and we are still waiting to hear something. Even the agency sound fed up of waiting. :confused: Poor hubby really wanted this job and we are desperate for something (as are a lot of people) I just can't understand why they advertise a job available in March and haven't filled the position yet. Are the homes not being fixed/repaired? I'm confused :confused::confused:
Does anyone know if there is a time limit with Hyndburn Homes to find out who has got the job?

How do you know it's not the agency who haven't followed it up. Are they exclusive to HH ?

No they aren't exclusive to HH. Hubby rang them the other week to see if they'd heard anything and they said they hadn't heard but would let him know one way or the other. Last week he got a text message saying he should hear that week, still nothing and when he rang the agency today he was told that they had contacted HH last week and were told a decision would be made that week. I'm not sure how all this works through an agency and that's why I thought I'd ask on here:)

There are two companies-
Hyndburn Homes
Hyndburn Homes Repairs
They operate from different sites.
Make sure you are contacting the correct one

Some people just work slowly.

My ex boss used to take a month just to get around to reading applicants CV's. It would then take him another month to short list them.

Interviews could take forever to arrange.

One of the reasons. He was slow slow making any decision that I stopped asking, just did things then told him later :D

Hi Contact Hyndburn homes direct and forget the agency. Keep phoning them, and remember the golden rule... (The wheel that squeeks the most, gets oiled first) Nothing to loose if you do this...A job is a job, and you will impress by forthrightness if nothing else............Tony

Hello, the employment agency used by Hyndburn Homes has been kept fully briefed on the situation with this vacancy. I apologise that this information has not been passed on to your husband. If he calls Contour Housing Group on 0345 602 1120 and speaks to Victoria Lomas in the HR department she will be happy to explain where everything is up to. Thank you for your reply debmonitor. I will ask him to ring the number tomorrow. He really wanted the job and wondered what was happening with the agency. Every time he rings the agency they tell him they haven't heard from Hyndburn Homes.
