Cat & Kitten

1 Attachment(s)
I might have a problem, My Cat just gave birth, (a little ginger thing, I think it's male but what the hey, my eyesight isn't what it used to be.),
No more seem to be coming, so I think I can cope.

I've left her alone with it for the past couple of hours, she's cleaned it up, seems quite proud of it but I haven't seen it suckle yet.

Should I ignore and let nature take it's course? Or should I be asking if anyone has an eye dropper and a formula for milk I should be giving the Kit?

Just to let you know, the birth happened behind my telly, I did my back in moving it, to put the Kit into the box I'd put out for the Cat, 'Ouch'!

Oh dear, how very sad. Sorry about that Less. Must admit I wasn't quite sure if this was a wind up thread of yours, but obviously not.

Nope no wind up, cat still looking around for it, it went the way of many a fairground goldfish this morning I'm afraid.

Thank You both, Cat is fine, in fact, this is the friendliest and most loving she has ever been to me during nearly 3 years of being together.
:)

The female mothering hormones at times are wonderful, I just wonder how long before she gets back to being, demanding, short tempered and downright ignorant, (perhaps I should marry her?).
:D

Sorry about your Cat Less, but isn't that unusual for them to have only one ? Has she got any others stowed away somewhere ? I'm not really a Cat person so don't know a great deal about them, more inclined towards Dogs & when they have a litter there's always quite a handful.

One of my youngest cats dropped two out on my mum's bed the other day. They're so tiny my little brother wondered when we had got the mice. They're still alive but their mother doesn't seem to actually mother them very much.
