eyeliners?

ladies (and maybe gents), can anyone suggest an eyeliner that doesn't smudge? i wear it a lot for work and by 5 o'clock when i'm finished i end up looking like a panda... i really need help on this, its not a great look when you're serving the public

It seems that this is a problem for lots of ladies........Cosmopolitan message board has a few requests for non smudge eyeliner.....one writer recommends the Barry M tange...reporting that is very black and stays put all day/night.
Don't know if this helps Shaz.
My days of putting eyeliner on are long gone.......I can't see without my glasses to put it on, my glasses get in the way so I gave up!

i don't tend to plaster it on, i only put it on the top, it just ends up all over, i'll google that brand, thanx Marg x

Re: eyeliners?

you are most welcome Shaz......at least it isn't one of the most expensive brands.
I used to use Rimmel cake eyeliner.....you could use as mascara too.......it was one of those 'spit and brush' jobbies.

Barry M - The most colourful name in cosmetics

i'm sure it will, or i hope it will, nothing worse than looking like i've gone to sleep with my make-up on

Since you have had blepharitis, I would choose with caution.
My favorite site about product ingredients is -

Guide to Less Toxic Products
extract-
Mainstream eyeliners contain carcinogenic coal tar colours, hormone-disrupting TEA, and PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone). PVP is an allergen and there is some evidence that it cause cancer in lab animals. The US government has received numerous reports of allergic reaction to eyeliner.
Best - Lavera
Good
Beauty Without Cruelty
Burt’s Bees
Ecco Bella

Simply Unscented
Almay - all cosmetics fragrance free
Body Shop - Liquid Eye Liner; Eye Definer (pencil)
Clinique - all products fragrance free
Marcelle - all products fragrance free

The BarryM website should be able to tell you the ingredients.

Re: eyeliners?

another good company is this one......
Cosmetics and Makeup – ELF Cosmetics UK – Eyes Lips Face
buy online.......while I don't use much make up these days the people I know who do say this is really good quality for the price. I cannot vouch for their eyeliner, as to whether it is smudge proof or not.

Having said all that the Barry M stuff looks good. I'm sure that superdrug sell that brand.

As a fella.... I'd say use none at all.

Beauty is within, not a result of the gunk you plaster on. :)
