An explanation seems needed.

Dettol 'No-Touch Handwash System' TV ad - 30 sec advert

I keep getting irritated by this advert, for no other reason than, if the product is of any use, the dispenser can be covered in tons of Doo-Doo, but once the contents have been used surely anything on the outside is neutralised?

Less, it is another one of those ads that frightens folk into buying a product that is expensive, and not at all necessary.
After all you are going to Wash your hands with the hand soap that a normal dispenser is doling out aren't you? You aren't going to eat the stuff.
Soap and water kill the bacteria that might be on the top of the hand pump so why would you need a no touch one? Well, mainly because people can see much better than they can think.
It irritates the doo-doo out of me too.

Thank you, can you now explain how washing at 40 degrees using a detergent that kills 99.9% of germs, (good and bad germs) makes my childrens clothes safer to wear?

Unless I kill 99.9% of my children they will still, like the rest of us, be covered in germs, won't they?
:D

I could Less, but again this advert plays on the insecurities of folk who want to be sure that everything in their life is spotless......don't they realise that our immune systems need to have something to do, or they start to work on things that they shouldn't be working on...a bit like the devil and idle hands.

How has the human race come so far without these necessities?
I will leave you to answer that one :D

Wish I could come up with the disinfectant that kills the elusive 0.1% of germs that all others can't kill.
