I wonder how we could find out the general feeling about the proposal to build a Mosque for over 2000 worshippers alongside Hyndburn Rd near ASDA

Where's the proposal, never heard any mention of it in the press or on here for that matter. There is already Mosque not too far away anyway

To be honest, haven't seen anything else on the proposed mosque on Frederick Street. Can't remember a planning application and ... dang! .. HBC are playing about on their website again. Saying page no longer available ... will have to search for it.

I recall reading somewhere that the car sales garage on Hyndburn Rd (near Hyndburn Park School) is the site proposed

Well, that would be a better site. Did muse that that may be targeted for the new police station .. but 'they' are keeping that one very close to their chests.

Can't see that really, there are some quite big ones in Bradford and Bolton, not to mention Dublin

We already have several mosques in Accrington .

I don't know of any in Oswaldtwistle . Perhaps the residents of Oswaldtwistle would like to oblige .

my parents have moved now from steiner street. They are knocking them down(apparently) from 64 onwards and from the same part of the streets portland and frederick

Personally i don't care, there will never be more mosques than churches and churches are just as pointless as mosques
