A mate of mine as just told me he's seen a new Mini Cooper parked in accy with the reg AC10 WEB, must be an Accy Web member:D

Nice one Jaysay ... except the first two letters 'AC' does indicate it was registered in Anglia... 10 - March to August this year. :)

Maybe so but you can now buy a registration from DVLA after picking your choice. That's if they are available. It's £250 for registrations up to the last current one and a bit more for the latest. If it is special then it can be hundreds of pounds but the one above will be about £450.

Mine is my initials followed by a year code and short version of my name.

I have no idea which area it denotes but it won't be local.

I originally picked one which spelt my name, if you count 55 as SS and it went to auction for 60 grand.
I had offered £250 as it was bought for my 70th birthday.

My Granddaughter did the same Gremlin, think her's were about £300
