We share the log on, and can't be bothered to make my own as he never comes on here.

Thanks for noticing tho'

I think a couple of steak puds are in order Jaysay, if only they didnt tell you to wean your little ones until 6months nowerdays. But that is a whole different discussion topic, probably headed up by the lovely MargaretR - quote unquote, "back in the day we added baby rice to their milk to thicken it up" <3 (thats a loveheart by the way)

Some people did add rice - my lad preferred spoon fed groats.
The health visitor got me spoonfeeding him at 4 weeks:eek:
..times and practices change, but mums know by instinct what is best.

No they don't. Things change due to research by professionals. The best thing you can do is listen to the current advice and not what people did 40 years ago

i have to agree with Margaret on this one, 14 years ago when i had Reece it was ok to start weaning them from 3 months, now its 6...whats all that about? when i had Reece it was ok to make the bottles up and leave them in the fridge for a few hours, now you're not supposed to, neither of these things did Reece (or any of my nephews and nieces) any harm, my youngest niece is 15 months old, my brother was weaning her from 4 months and used to make the bottles up before hand and put them in the fridge, i'm due to become an auntie again in June and i'm sure my sister will do the same thing now as she did 16 years ago with her oldest child.....YOU are the parent and YOU know exactly what your child needs, none of the little ones in our family where 'book babies' they all do different things. My auntie is a health visitor at the clinic at the end of Haworth street in Ossy and has been a health visitor since i was a child and she says the same
