poor medium wave radio reception

I have several radios in the house and within the last week I've been unable to access anything on the medium wave.

Have i missed something re digital or is it just unlucky that none of 3 radios work on the medium wave, all other frequesncies appear ok

any advice much appreciated

I cant give any advice but I listen to my radio instead of watching TV and I have no problem with either medium or long wave. My location is a mile from Accrington and canal level.

All the BBC ones do plus DAB digital - On line and on FM.

Just tried my MW and It's very dodgy.

if a transmitter has been damaged by the bad weather it may take a while to fix it.I know there are talks of ending one of the waves and switching over to gijital but i think its a while off yet

We've just been hit with major solar radiation from a sunspot(MargaretR's thread). That affects radio waves, doesn't it?
