Peel Court

Does anyone know what is going to happen to the former Peel Court nursing home site:confused::confused::confused:. Thought they were gonna build houses!?!?!.

Re: Peel Court

As a sweetener it was due to be a car park, but since L.C.C.'s Peninne Reach scheme, to have a bus lane, has been stopped due to lack of funding, I presume it's still for sale.

I had one too.

Which was declined, as I have no idea who they are, and they didn't say.

Eeew Bossy !:D

The story so far:
  • L.C.C. owned the land, Hyndburn Borough Council applied for Planning Permission to turn into a car park, which was accepted.
  • HBC couldn't afford the price of the land, so was sold off at auction to a private buyer.
  • This is still the situation.
  • L.C.C. would dearly love to buy back the land and lease to HBC as a car park, but they now cannot afford it with the cutbacks.
  • The Pennine Reach scheme would have helped, but a certain councillor put a spanner in the works.
Please let us know if you hear anything.

Recently I got two personal messages, demanding to know what my avater was.

Perhaps by Christmas we'll be offered an actual opinion.

Rather than one more inane question.

I have this forum set not to show anyone's avatar.
I find I can gain an impression from what is said, rather than from any image they might want me to look at.
