So which way do you do it
Over the last few months I've been suffering from an ulcer on my ankle, which they say was caused by a pressure sore, (they're bloody sore believe me) The district nurse who is treating it for me asked me a few questions about my sleep patterns and how to help with the healing process. But the fact is, no matter how hard I try I can't sleep anyway but on my right side, no chance on my back or on my left side, even though I have an adjustable bed I can only sleep on my right. I've since talked to a few more people about this, I'm nearly sure cashy said he was the same, and that goes for most people its on one side only one side and its mainly the right. which side do you sleep on and is there anybody that can sleep on both sides and back and stomach

Re: So which way do you do it
I can sleep on any side........but I can remember a few years ago having a frozen shoulder and it stopped me sleeping on my right side.........if I turned onto my right side while asleep the pain would waken me up. It took almost 3 years to get better.

Re: So which way do you do it
With or without ale I cannot sleep on my stomach and if I try to sleep on my back I seem to get breathless.
I always start off on my left side but keep turning from side to side all night, often only getting a few hours sleep, with or without ale. |

Re: So which way do you do it
Interesting question, I sleep on my left side mostly, I think the reason is because that's the side of the bed I get out of. Just a thought.

Re: So which way do you do it
can sleep on either side , only get a decent nights sleep if the bedhead/my head is pointing North and I'm on the side of the bed nearest the door

Re: So which way do you do it
When I was reading about Feng Shui, I learnt that to have the foot of the bed directly in line with the door is bad - it makes you easier to carry out in a direct line when stiff.:)
There is some substance in the notion that to sleep in alignment with magnetic poles is beneficial. We all have our own magnetic field around us and it seems reasonable to align it with that of the Earth. Unfortunately many modern homes don't provide enough bedroom space to comply. |

Usually on my left side ... though I sometimes flip over to the right side. After enough ale and tokes, it's usually the couch.:) Often, I have to fight for space with the dogs and the cats.:dancedog:
