St Mary Magdalen's School - Devonshire Street
 

Hi,
My daughter is due to start school next year and I'm looking at sending her to St Mary Magdalen's School on Devonshire Street, Accrington. Trouble is, I don't know anyone who's children go/have been there and would like some feedback. Looking at the latest ofsted report, the school has made some great improvements recently and seems to be on par with other local schools, but it would be nice to hear from other parents.

My grandson was at St Mary Magdalen's up until the end of last term and did really well there. His dad was reluctant to move him but as they live up near Christ Church he felt that the walk to and from Devonshire Street, especially in the bad weather warranted a move to a school nearer home. My son has nothing but praise for the education my grandson received there, Bernie

I am on Westwood St and a neighbour had doubts about the school , nevertheless she did send her son there as it was convenient , she never regretted it as he did very well and was always happy.

hi bernadette and greeny, thanks for your replies. The school seems to have a bit of a bad rep that it can't shake off, so it's nice to hear good things about it!

Well my Granddaughter went their a few years ago and she did okay there
