ShowerSaint

The posty has just been and I've received a postcard from a firm called ShowerSaint (never heard of um before) which says We've received a request for a FREE ShowerSaint, thank you. (no you haven't) If for any reason you do not require it please contact us within 5 days of receipt of this postcard.

Freephone bla bla bla

or email no thanks @showersaint com

you will need to give us your address so that we can accurately identify and remove your details (wonder how they sent the card in the first place:rolleyes:)

then in very small print
a load of gumph saying how they obtained my details, you know selected client lists etc,

now some people maybe in a rush to ring the freephone number, so some sales rep can brow beat you into buying one of these FREE showers
or email them so that they have your email address and can then continually bombard you with crap every day.

Has anybody else received this wonderful offer:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Exactly, when some one contacts you this way, either by post, email or telephone saying you've requested something they are flogging when you haven't I become very wary, think if they try to deliver this thing to me I'll just refuse delivery end of story

These are a stupid idea. If you want less water coming out of your shower then just turn the tap down. All it does is limit the water from the shower.

So its not a scam then Neil, there's the old sayings, there's no free lunch and if something looks to good to be true it probably is, can't think that somebody sends you something out of the goodness of their heart with no follow up which cost money, or is that me being cynical:rolleyes:

These free energy saving things are usually funded by the energy companies trying to meet silly government requirements. Instead of wasting money like this they would be better off spending the money on making energy more efficiently in my opinion.

I think its just about reaching silly government targets.

After all why would energy companies want you to buy less of their product unless forced by the government.

It would be like Asda telling you not to buy less food

You mean like all those energy saving light bulbs we were sent, I think I had more of them than the company who make them, the only problem was they were crap, I bought my own daylight bulbs
