Which breed are you?

Doggies have featured quite a bit recently on Accyweb.

Have discovered a new breed in the Sealyham Terrier -first on a SKY news feature about the possible extinction of this English "ratting" breed, which, it was then revealed is favoured by our own illustrious MP, Graham Jones.

Acrylic-Biff -owned by A-b was an unknown quantity, i suspected he might be a German Shepherd or perhaps a French poodle - but no, much too European. So, I thought, he could be a British Bulldog - a post today has revealed a clue -he is some kind of Terrier. Given that they say dogs take after their owners, I suspect he may be a Jack Russell - Yappy and once they get something between their teeth they worry it to death.

As to me I posted some time ago my own canine inclintion:

mobertol: Unfortunately, I think you're right here -but i still like to think of myself in canine terms as an Afghan hound!

I stand by my affirmation; tall, elegant, with flowing golden locks, beautifully groomed - this is definitely me.:D

So, my question is, what breed are you?;)

Re: Which breed are you?

Acrylic-Biff, the terrier with attitude, has insisted that I point out that he is a Cairn Terrier and that his ancestry is registered with the Kennel Club of Great Britain.

For anyone interested there is a photograph here...

http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/f...biff-6565.html

He is now 8 years old and his face has darkened considerably. He has also added Fireworks, HBC and onions to his list of things he does not like. He is also not above adding me to that list from time to time, especially following the administration of stuff like worming tablets and the like.

From what little i know of your good -self A-b, he is perfect for you.

Does he get first go on the computer or are you the alpha-male ?:dancedog::D

Given what I know about pedigrees -"Biff" must be a shorter version of his full pedigree name -I wonder what it could be?

Photo of Oscar required -does he have your cheeky, wolfish smile Cashy?

The theory is that dog owners look like their pooches.

Does he have a pedigree like "Biff", or is he a Heinz 57 varieties type dog?

Sir Biffington Trumpley of Tockholes Scarr. Which is a bit of a gobfull and is something he only gets when I want to murder him.

I should point out that I am actually first and foremost a Cat-woman and was born in the year of the Cat in chinese astrology, in the western system I'm a Libran - don't know how to fit cat's in there, though we are supposed to be the beautiful people of the zodiac;):D

I imagine that you don't have a pet Margaret because of allergy probs.

My elderly cat was euthanised in June when he began bleeding from his bowel.

The lack of cat hairs makes house cleaning easier, but my problem is due to petrochemical sensitivity and I did test negative for the 'usual' allergies (including cats)

From the world-class breeding line Sir Biffington Gillassie of Ninfield with Cairngowan Breakwater Jock of Skye. A fine pedigree -i do hope you let him breed:rolleyes::D

Sorry to hear that -it's awful when you have to put them to sleep.

I would put up with any amount of cat hairs for my cats - they are the best company. Lost young Zoe to an accident recently and now have Milly(10) and Teo (17).

Had a scare myself last year when dignosed with asthma - thought i was going to be allergic to cats, luckily I wasn't.

You should try stopping him! He'll have a go at anything. The phrase 'rat up a drainpipe' comes most easily to mind.

I wonder if the similarities extend to behaviour patterns? Surely not...:D

I am not entirely sure what you might be attempting to allude to, but if you are suggesting that I wander the streets habitualy cocking my leg up on anything even vaguely vertical, you would be mistaken.

I'm sure that must be a great relief to those in your neighbourhood.

Rats up drainpipes - not in my vocab. Too modern.

For "up" i read "in", thought mean teddy boys! New specs have been ordered and with luck will be ready on Saturday...

That's one great looking little dog. There goes the theory that dogs look like their companions. ;)

I actually believe that animals respond to the people they are with as well as having their own nature to start with. So great companions have great owners as they can express their own personality.:dancedog:

We have had a few dogs -but they were never "mine" -always my boys. I was just the one who had to make sure they were fed.

Same with the goldfish we had for 8 years - the only one who ever bothered with it was me...
